Signs Your Pella Sliding & Patio Door Is Failing

• The door drags or takes real effort to slide. Roller bearings wear flat in Port St. Lucie’s humidity and sand. Once the wheel stops rolling, the housing grinds into the track and the problem compounds fast.

DIY or Call Us?

You can safely check a few things before you call. Clean the track with a dry cloth and vacuum out the debris. Look for visible damage to the rollers by lifting the door slightly in the frame. But beyond that, replacing Pella rollers means pulling a heavy glass panel out of its track, which is a two-person job with a real risk of dropping the slab or pinching fingers.
